Colleen Carter is originally from New Brunswick, Canada. She began her missions journey on an AIM program in 2000 and progressed until she was appointed as a Career Missionary in 2015. Throughout her time in Ghana, Colleen worked with MK schooling, taught at ACTS Ghana, operated the Pass the Word printing office, was involved in Reaching Africa’s Children, taught at the extension school in Tamale, was involved in training adults and children throughout the nation, ministered at the female prison in Tamale, and assisted the church in many other ways. In September 2018, the Regional Teaching Ministry was added to Colleen’s appointment. She was an appointed missionary to Ghana for a total of twenty years.
In 2019, her field was changed to Gabon. Colleen officially moved to Gabon in February 2021, becoming the first Global Missions resident missionary in that nation. Her focus is on being the director of WELCH Training Center. She also works with the Youth and Children’s Ministries and travels to other nations in Africa with Regional Teaching Ministry when schedule and finances allow. Colleen’s profound love for teaching God’s Word is now spanning nations of the African region.
