Jeff and Heidi Cecil grew up in Raleigh, NC. In their local church, they served in various leadership roles such as serving on youth staff, Hyphen leader for eleven years, and serving in music and outreach ministries for over twenty years. Jeff and Heidi served the North Carolina District as Coordinator of Carolina Crusades, a church planting campaign of the North Carolina District under the direction of Wayne Huntley. The Cecils served as daughter work pastors in Tarboro, NC for three years before resigning to go on the global missions field. In 2019, Jeff and Heidi took their first AIM-appointed trip to Sierra Leone, where they assisted the mission and national church in evangelism, teaching, and administration at the Bible college. In 2021, the Cecils were approved as Associate Missionary to Sierra Leone and would later transfer to The Gambia in February 2023. In the nine months serving in The Gambia before their return for deputation, the Cecils baptized sixty souls in Jesus’ name, and established two preaching points and four home groups. Jeff and Heidi Cecil were appointed as Intermediate Missionaries to The Gambia and Sierra Leone at the UPCI General Conference of 2023.
