Joseph and Cassandra Landaw were initially appointed to serve in the islands of Trinidad and Tobago after working there as AIMers for two years. Following their missionary profiledeputation in 2015, they started their first term but were unable to enter Trinidad due to the ban on missionary visas. Instead, the Landaws went to Puerto Rico and worked in the San Juan metro area where they taught at a Bible school and assisted with a new church. They then relocated to the island’s southern side in 2017 to help in the least evangelized areas. During this time, they continued teaching at the Bible schools across the island and provided oversight to the churches in the South/West.
Sister Cassandra has been instrumental in every aspect of the work, particularly in the music and Sunday school departments, driving everything towards excellence. When Hurricane Maria devastated Puerto Rico, the Landaws helped distribute humanitarian aid to those in need. Upon their return from deputation in 2021, the Landaws planted a bilingual church in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, and are currently leading the work on that side of the island.
