In October 2017, the Blackmon family was appointed as the first resident missionaries to Guinea under an Intermediate Missionary appointment. After completing their first deputation, they arrived in 2019 with the aim of creating a headquarters church. They spent the next four years establishing and pastoring a thriving church in the capital city. At the time of their arrival, Guinea had three UPCI churches. Today, thanks to their efforts, there are ten UPCI churches in Guinea as well as several preaching points. They have dedicated themselves to providing training for the country’s leaders through Bible school classes that utilize the G.A.T.S. Curriculum. Their ultimate goal is to establish a full-time Bible school during their upcoming term.
