Lonnie James Burton was raised in Venezuela and became a musician and youth pastor, serving in churches in Barcelona and eastern Venezuela. After completing his studies at Indiana Bible College, he returned to Venezuela to work in the Valera Bible School as an AIMer, ministering on weekends and opening churches in the Andes Mountains. Lonnie and his wife, Damarys, received their missionary appointment to Venezuela in 2004. They worked at the National Bible School, pastored a church in the Andes Mountains, and continued to establish more churches around the country. In October of 2015, they moved to Barcelona/Puerto La Cruz to establish a new Bible school. Over forty-seven years, “The Conquerors Bible School” has graduated over 3,500 students, 80% of which are still working as pastors in Venezuela and worldwide. The Burtons are thrilled to see revival happening all across Venezuela and are excited to be a part of the work that God is doing in this great country.
