The Sponslers have served in Ecuador and Argentina since being appointed in 1981. They served two terms in Ecuador where they were involved in ministerial training and helped start five churches and the Bible school program. They served two years in Argentina before returning to the United States to pastor in Portland, Oregon. In 2006, they returned to Argentina as AIM workers before receiving their full appointment at the General Conference in Columbus, Ohio. They have served in Argentina since that time.
The Sponslers have been primarily involved in Bible school work, overseeing the training facility, working with and on the national board, and helping to expand the first Bible school annex. They have served as Area Coordinators in the Southern Cone of South America and have been actively helping with family and marriage seminars around the country. In 2022, they were asked to serve as Regional Director of South America. They are passionate about working with the missionary families and national leadership of the region.
