Patrick and Jean Groves were appointed missionaries to Sudan and Kenya in April 2004. In addition to overseeing the Bible school in Kenya, their focus is on leadership training, evangelism, and church planting. Brother Groves is the Superintendent of the UPC of South Sudan (UPCSS), which was registered in August 2011. The Groves are pioneer missionaries to South Sudan, where UPCSS has sixty-seven churches and over 20,000 constituents. They are currently in the process of registering the church in Sudan, where the population is predominantly Muslim. They are also conducting seminars on Apostolic doctrine and leadership training.
