Steve and Yvette Phelps are licensed ministers of the United Pentecostal Church International. Both have a love for missions and for the African nations. In the early 2000’s they pastored a church in Prescott, Arizona. God began to deal with them about African missions early in their lives. Their first appointment as missionaries was to Uganda in 2011. They had the opportunity to open the first Bible school in Uganda in 2014. God moved upon them, and they were appointed to Nigeria in 2015.
The following year in 2016 they started a Bible school in Lagos, Nigeria. During the pandemic in 2020, they instituted an online Bible school for Nigeria. Steve and Yvette are passionate about teaching in Bible schools and building team leaders. They pastor a church in Lagos along with a great team. Steve is the West Africa GATS Representative. They love traveling to the nations of West Africa to facilitate instructor training seminars. Steve also facilitates and teaches Oneness seminars throughout Nigeria. Currently, they are in Nigeria working with the nationals of the First United Pentecostal Church International.
Steve and Yvette were married in 1986 and have three married sons and five grandchildren.
