Thad and EmmaLee Benson have been involved in missions for a long time. Thad grew up on the mission field as an MK in Madagascar, Togo, and Benin before returning to the States to attend Indiana Bible College, where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Missiology. During this time at IBC, he also became an AlMer to Benin for three months. EmmaLee went on an AYC trip to Costa Rica, and the next summer went on the Next Steps program to Paraguay. Upon returning, she attended Indiana Bible College and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Missiology. After graduating IBC, she spent four months on AIM in Ghana. Afterward, she returned to the States and she and Thad were married.

They welcomed their first daughter, Adda Lee, in March of 2020. They were once again approved as AlMers to Benin, West Africa, and arrived on the field in December 2020. After a year on AIM, they were approved as Associate Missionaries (AMPers). In November 2022, they welcomed their second daughter Sadee, and returned to Benin shortly after in February 2023. While in Benin, they assisted in the Bible school by helping with office duties and teaching English classes. Thad preached in the churches and EmmaLee taught Sunday school.

They were appointed as Intermediate Missionaries in May 2024, and look forward to returning toBenin to help further the Kingdom of God by teaching, training, and equipping the people of Benin.
